#IvanThandhiran - The title justified the storyline and gave a strong message about education corruption in a very commercial way. Sure hit of the month. Entertainment guaranteed with some good uncliched ideas n witty one-liners. 

Pros :

 Director He narrates the story and made the audience very engaged from start to end with the fast and racy screenplay and with intelligent twists. Even though the story involves many technologies, the director has shown those pieces of stuff to laymen as simple as possible. (Romba Anukundu Aaraychi Ellam senju logical questions ellam kekkama padam parthaal mattume pothumaathu )

 RJ Balaji . He just nailed it with spontaneous timing comedy. Though few border line Adult dialogues. It can be forgotten and forgiven on the flow. His engineer's life dialogue already going viral in YouTube. Most of the students can easily relate and enjoy this fun. (Kindly avoid some A rated jokes since most of the family segment seeing you as responsible youngster in this society - Yours faithfully, fundamentally - Your Fan)

 Gautham Karthik A nice comeback movie after the big success of Rangoon. He underplayed as a hero but rocked. We expect such kind of movie selection from you.He looks more polished and good acting, especially during the love proposal scene. Surprise package Shradha Shrinath gives some decent performance. More screen presence than her Tamil debut Kaatru veliyidai. Super Subbarayan and Stunt Silva done their role perfectly. 

Cons : 

Songs are very average. 

Some unrealistic scenes like laddu/deal negotiation happening were very artificial.

 A presence of many yesteryear comedians just for one scene. Courtesy sake may be . Mayilsamy joke was really good, could have given some more scenes. 

An overall good effort by Director Kannan. Watch in theaters for a neat commercial entertainer.

Vanamagan Review

Big thanks to the director Vijay for giving decent family entertainer without any double meaning comedy or vulgar bad words.

Jayamravi always love to do experimental movies, Vanamagan is one such kind. He speaks only 5 dialogues in this movie.

Sayyeshaa , Very talented and beautiful pick for the movie, she carried the whole movie on her shoulder with realistic acting performance. 

Other castings like Thambi Ramiah and Prakashraj did their asusual job like their previous movies.Comedy worked out well for Thambi Ramaiah . Cinematography by Tirru is excellent work, beautifully shown the forest and island zone with pleasant realistic frames.

A movie speaks about tribal people and deforestation concepts but director missed details in film making,so it didn't bring any impact or make us attach towards the storyline. 

The beauty of director vijay movies are film will be realistic and natural, but this movie break that myth with lot of loopholes on the script and logic less film making ( A hero with gun shot on chest and fighting is one best pick for unrealistic picturization) It made the movie ordinary and make audience laugh at many emotional scenes.

Another big minus in the movie, the screenplay is very draggy and songs at important scenes made the whole movie seems bit lengthy and reduced the audience interest.

CGI and camera works really appreciable. Music also good but could have been better album for "Harris50" tag.

If director concentrates more on  logics and details in storyline,the movie could have been even better.

Small request to director vijay sir... People coming to theater only for your quality content sir, so dont bother or keep glamour songs in your upcoming movies.

Vijay and Rahman combo is not first time treat for their fans, early they joined hands for  Azhagiya Tamil Magan, movie was not commercially success, but each and every song were trendsetting one. The title song “Ella Puzhalum Oruvan Oruvanukke” , easily one of the best intro song for Ilayathalapathy Vijay.Both the personalities were reached unimaginable position and now they joining hands after 10 years , it made huge expectations among both their fans.

Most of the Rahman fans are longing for poisonous album like old 90’s, but due to his busy schedule with modern trendy movies, he didn’t committed with any village nativity based movies. Now everything turned up for the genius music composer. Everyone knows he agreed to compose music for Sri Thenandal Film’s movie with Box office Samrat Vijay. Now the first look and Title was launched. It’s MERSAL. Vijay’s look totally unexpected and absolutely stunning with village nativity smile. Hence Rahman fans excited more than Vijay fans to celebrate the music in very early stage.  The reason behind this excitement is not surprised element, because no one can forget good old mesmerizing village albums like Kizhakku Cheemayile, Vandi Cholai Chinnarasu etc from the Oscar winner.

In an interview, Mozart of Madras A.R Rahman was asked to share his thoughts when a section of his fans complained that his music is not what it used to be in the 1990s. He had a simple answer, that he has evolved as a music composer and it has caused some level of disconnection with his fans. They are fans like me who are still living and feeding on his old compositions. I believe, if his fans down south were asked to pick their favorite song between Oscar-winning Jai Ho and Aathangarai Marame number, from Kizhakku Cheemayile, an overwhelming number of fans will choose the second one. After big stars like Suriya, Dhanush, Jayam Ravi, Vishal, Bharath 6 pack season, rumors spreading like now actor Santhanam also trying hard for 6 pack shape for Selvaraghavan's project. It would be great if this news comes true. Damn sure Santhanam would join leading race in the market if he gives out best.

Maragatha Nanayam Review

Maragatha Nanayam : 3.25/5

Debutant Director ARK Saravan gave us a fresh fantasy entertainer. The story revolves around Maragatha Nanayam ( Emerald Artifact) which jumps between fantasy, comedy, love, emotion and evil spirits.

The biggest plus of this movie is fresh content. We can enjoy each and every actor in the movie with their unexpected characterization. Especially Nikki Galrani’s role no one could predict in the first attempt, such a catchy role. Aadhi underplayed and gave space for all fellow actors but he slightly struggling during emotional scenes.

The noticeable characters in this movie are “Ramadoss” and “Daniel Pope”. Both carried the movie with their humor and timing counters. Along with them, ArunKamaraj killed with his voice and timing comedy.

Twinkle Ramanathan and his bodyguards from starting till end tried to make us laugh and failed at few scenes due to repetitive goofy underlings. Some gags are unnecessarily stretched and it down the movie speed.

Music Director Dhibu really a notable talent for Tamil cinema. Background score and especially climax chase scene song ( Kottai Aanda Arasan) damn good, Arunkamaraj killed with his fire voice.

In the beginning, the director fights a little while to get to the story, it makes audience tired. But once he does that, the film travels at a constant pace till the climax making the audience laugh out loud. A movie may resemble Venkatprabhu-Actor Suriya’s Mass movie but story plot is totally different. The Director’s intention is to give a light-hearted film so just go and enjoy the comedy entertainer and please don’t expect even single percent logic in the movie.
